So, the review was pretty good. Words like charming and cozy and well-developed are used for the over-all performance of the show. The daughters in general were praised, as well as the song we all sing together. That's all happy.
And then... "Amy A. plays and sings the role of Tzeitel (wait for it) CAPABLY.
Every girls dreams of being called CAPABLE.
Don't get me wrong, the review was good. Other actors were described as able and suitable. So I'm in good company.
But, man. Capable is kind of a let down.

Aw, but capable could mean "better/superior to how actresses usually play this role"!
Isn't that sort of like Tom Lefroy calling Jane Austin's work "proficient" (is that the word, or is it another "p" word?)in Becoming Jane. Turned out OK for Jane. I know - who knows if he really said that. I am sure you sounded beautiful!!
OK, the word was "accomplished". Watched Becoming Jane with family this weekend. LOVE that movie!
